LEGAZPI - City of Fun and Adventure

You will see this tag line and its logo anywhere in Legazpi City area. There is something to define for each stroke and what it symbolizes. 

What is the meaning of the logo? What does it symbolize? What is the significance of the logo and its tagline to the Bikolano?


The LOGO and its TAGLINE.


MAYON VOLCANO – It is the major tourist attraction of Legazpi City its elevation is 8,081 (2,463m).

HILL BELOW MAYON VOLCANO – It is a hill located in the heart of Legazpi in Kapuntukan Hill local calls it the "Sleeping Lion". 

SMALLER HILL BESIDE MAYON VOLCANO AND SLEEPING LION – It is a hill located in Bogtong, Legazpi that stand 156 meters (511 feet) well known by the locals as Ligñon Hill.

BLUE COLOR OF MAYON VOLCANO, SLEEPING LION AND LIGÑON HILL – it symbolizes peace and orderliness. This is one of the top priorities of the City Government.

RED COLOR OF LEGAZPI – it is a strong color which symbolizes the quest of Legazpi for continuous development. Its color also emphasizes a war in progress.

THE SUN – it symbolizes fun and enjoyment in Legazpi.

NEON GREEN SLOPE - it symbolizes the environmental and ecological crusade of Legazpi.

BRIGHT PINK SLOPE – it symbolizes gender sensitivity in the city

DARK BLUE AND GREEN OF THE TAGLINE – it symbolizes the marine resources in the city.

The GOOD
  • Colorful
    • It brings life to the image. 
  • Attractive
    • Eye catchy and not too heavy once viewed.
  • Immersion
    •  Every Bikolano can relate to its symbols since they are all aware of the tourist destinations in Legazpi City.
  • Simple
    • Its simplicity makes it more attractive.
  • Recognizable
    • Its uniqueness makes it recognizable to everybody since Legazpi is well known as the city of the majestic Mayon Volcano.
The BAD
  • Too much color
    • Too colorful that might confuse and give different meaning for each color.
